The Three Worlds of Cycling

on Mon, 01/04/2016 - 17:28

An interesting article from World Streets: The Politics of Transport in Cities:

There are three “worlds” of cycling — and perhaps surprisingly they have very little to do with each other.

Two are much appreciated by those who practice them and are quite easy to do.

While the third often appears to be close to impossible. But it is far more important than the rest combined and multiplied by a thousand.

Let’s have a look: (see article at: The Three Worlds of Cycling)

This brings up a lot of potential questions:

  • Is it possible to serve all three worlds equally, and if not, which of them is Recyclore trying to serve and/or promote?
  • Does this understanding of the cycling world change what we understand Recyclore to be?
  • Thinking of the cycling community in this way, are there things Recyclore should do differently?
